Important safety information
- The most common effects are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation and stomach pain, especially when the dose goes up.
- Brand semaglutide carries a boxed warning about thyroid C-cell tumors seen in rodents. Do not use it if you or your family have had medullary thyroid cancer or MEN 2.
- Get care right away for severe stomach pain that does not go away (possible pancreatitis), pain in the upper right belly or yellow skin (possible gallbladder problems), or signs of an allergic reaction.
- Low blood sugar is more likely if you also take insulin or a sulfonylurea. Tell your provider about every diabetes medicine.
- Brand semaglutide (Wegovy, Ozempic) is FDA-approved. The FDA declared the semaglutide shortage over in February 2025 and has raised concerns about compounded versions.
- Compounded medications are prepared by a licensed US pharmacy for an individual patient. They are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not verify their safety, effectiveness or quality before they are dispensed.
Prescription only. A licensed provider reviews your health history in an online visit and decides whether this program is appropriate for you. Tell your provider about every medication, supplement, allergy and condition, and whether you are pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding. If you have a severe reaction, trouble breathing, chest pain or swelling of the face or throat, call 911.

Is compounded semaglutide FDA-approved?
No. Compounded semaglutide is not FDA-approved. Brand semaglutide, sold as Wegovy and Ozempic, is FDA-approved. A licensed provider decides whether a compounded version is appropriate for you.
Can you still get compounded semaglutide now that the shortage is over?
Yes, in limited cases. The FDA declared the semaglutide shortage over in February 2025, which limits compounding. A licensed 503A pharmacy may still compound it for an individual patient with a documented clinical need, and your provider decides whether that applies to you.
What is the difference between compounded semaglutide and Ozempic or Wegovy?
Ozempic and Wegovy are FDA-approved brand products made by the manufacturer. Compounded semaglutide is prepared by a licensed pharmacy, often with B12 or glycine, and is not FDA-approved. Your provider can explain which option fits your health history.
How much is semaglutide per month in Miami?
The RULE Longevity Semaglutide Weight Program starts at $199 per month, with shipping included. Higher-dose price tiers are still being set, and your provider sets your dose. Your exact price is shown before you pay.
What are the common side effects of semaglutide?
The most common side effects are stomach related, such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and constipation. Serious risks listed for semaglutide include pancreatitis, gallbladder problems and a boxed warning about thyroid tumors. Your provider reviews your history and tells you what to watch for.
